Introduction: Dear Friends and Colleagues, In November 1997, Richard Gaston performed the first Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy (LRP) in Europe, opening the doors to a fantastic and amazing evolution in surgical Urology that has become an integral part of our routine practice. Since 2004, “Challenges in Laparoscopy” has been our yearly appointment updating the progress in this new surgical field that has changed our way of thinking and of treating urological diseases. In honor of the 10 year anniversary since the first LRP, “Challenges in Laparoscopy” is gathering the best of world Laparoscopy in Bordeaux. Thirteen surgeons and 27 speakers and moderators have accepted to convene for this meeting where a milestone in Laparoscopy will be established. Classical Laparoscopy and Robotic assisted Laparoscopy, mixing established and innovative procedures will fill the three days of intensive work. Your time in Bordeaux will have a definitive and sound impact on your future work. Looking forward to meet you in the beautiful city where European Laparoscopy was born.
